Hogwarts School is a one-of-a-kind Harry Potter themed social server where witches, wizards and muggles from all around the world can connect and bond over their shared love of Harry Potter.
We are a fun community, looking to share and spread our love for Harry Potter with others.

Server Features

Hogwarts is home to a very diverse international population. As we have grown over the years, we have added, changed and removed various features to mold Hogwarts into a place that everyone can call home.
From our monthly House Cup to our weekly script reads and audiobook club, members can choose what they wish to participate in and can find their own place within the server.

Monthly House Cup!

Our monthly House Cup is one of the most engaging features of the server. Members work together with the others in their House to earn House Points throughout the month. At the end of the month, we award the House Cup to the House with the most points!

Active Voice Chats!

Members gather in the Voice Chat (VC) channels on the server frequently to listen to music, sing, karaoke, and hang out with friends. Anyone who has chatted on the server for a bit will receive the VC role, which provides them with the opportunity to join in these fun, impromptu VCs.
VC Events take place regularly, with the most common being a Homework VC, where members get together to listen to lofi music while doing work. Other VC Events include karaoke, bingo, and spelling bees.

Hidden Channels & Features!

Members can save up their sickles and galleons to purchase roles that unlock a variety of features. Some of these roles and features are:
→ Order of Merlin (First, Second and Third Classes) – unlocks the h?cash command!
→ Muggle & Order of the Phoenix – unlock two channels to earn bonus points each week!

Hogwarts School is home to four private custom bots!

Stars

Stars is a self-hosted Nadeko bot with personalized customizations for the server. Stars is used for many moderation features on the server, as well as some other fun features. A lot of words and phrases have been added as custom reactions, and members have the ability to purchase quotes.

Grey Lady

Grey Lady is a second, self-hosted Nadeko bot. Grey Lady is not used for moderation at all, however, our secondary currency is set up with her. Grey Lady spawns galleons in many of our major chat channels, as well as having many spells as custom reactions. These spells can be used throughout the entire server (with some exceptions).

HogwartsBot

HogwartsBot is a fully custom bot coded specifically for us. HogwartsBot commands include a variety of moderation and fun, including a special, role limited command for slapping people as an obscurus, or adding bonus House Points for achieving the high honor of Order of Merlin. HogwartsBot is also used for general utilities, such as tracking the House Cup.

Hedwig

Hedwig is a second, fully custom bot coded specifically for us. Hedwig is used for basic server functions and operations. Currently, the only function that Hedwig is used for is modmail. Modmail is used to contact the various Staff departments with questions. In the future, Hedwig will also be used for experience levels and level up roles and rewards, as well as for the server's economy.

Server Activities

(Optional) Classes!

Hogwarts School offers custom-created classes to our members that are based on the curriculum students studied throughout the Harry Potter series.
Our Class Prep and Professor volunteer teams work together to create google slides classes that have similar content to what students learned in the books. At the end of each class is a quiz that is based on the information presented. The classes are optional, but are a fun way to learn more about the Wizarding World and earn House Points at the same time.

Weekly Script Reads and Audiobook Club!

Each week, our members join together in VC to read the scripts of the Harry Potter movies. We read a different section each week, followed by listening to the corresponding section of the audiobook. When we finish a book and movie, we wrap up by watching that movie.
As an international server though, we have members in many timezones world-wide. To keep Hogwarts School a place where everyone can participate and feel at home, we offer this special event twice each week, on both Friday nights and Saturday mornings!

Week-long Book Club Discussions!

Join our members as we reread the Harry Potter books, with discussions for each section of each book. The weekly discussions ask about various themes and topics, designed to make you really think and question various events from the storyline.
Our book club uses the themes, questions, and other related content from the Wizarding World Book Club.

Harry Potter themed Mafia Games!

Mafia Overview

Our Mafia games are a fun, engaging, long-term game that takes place over the course of approximately two weeks. Members sign up in advance, and then are randomly assigned a character role with varying special abilities. Based on the role they're assigned, members are part of either the Order or the Death Eaters.
The games rely heavily on attention to detail, cunning, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. These games have become a staple of the server, and there is usually a waitlist for members who weren't able to sign up in time.

Mafia Teams

The Death Eaters work together in a private channel during the game nights to kill members of the Order. They get one kill per night, with bonus kills from other Death Eaters depending on their abilities.
The Order are unknown to each other, but have abilities that allow for information sharing during nights. During the day, the Order must work together to weed out the Death Eaters for a daily lynch. Information gathered during nights can be used to sway the day decisions, but revealing your role unless absolutely necessary is prohibited.
